{"id":556,"date":"2022-03-17T13:19:40","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T12:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mozart-gesellschaft-dortmund.de\/?page_id=556"},"modified":"2025-05-17T08:17:30","modified_gmt":"2025-05-17T06:17:30","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mozart-gesellschaft-dortmund.de\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">YOU CANNOT BUY TALENT BUT YOU CAN PROMOTE IT.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Who we are<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0399n 2026 the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund will celebrate its seventieth anniversary and is among the cultural institutions in Dortmund with the greatest tradition.<br \/>\nAs a member of the \u201cInternationale Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg\u201d the past decades have made the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund through its promotion of young artists and its successful concerts into the most important organisation of its type in the German speaking world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What we do<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">Promoting young musicians <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We support highly talented musicians between the ages of 17 and 27 who aspire to build international careers. A jury of experts selects potential scholarship holders and decides which musicians are to be given support. During a one-day audition at the Orchesterzentrum NRW, an internal jury \u2014 comprising members of our advisory board and executive board \u2014 makes the final decision on admission to our program. Each new scholarship holder is given the opportunity to perform as a soloist at the Konzerthaus Dortmund as part of our Young Artist Matinees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The success stories of our alumni speak for themselves: many now perform as soloists, chamber musicians, or members of leading orchestras worldwide, while others inspire future generations as educators. To date, the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund has supported over 150 promising talents on their way to professional music careers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div><b>Attractive Concerts\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund has succeeded time and again in providing its scholarship holders with attractive opportunities in its own concerts. For this the concert series in the Konzerthaus Dortmund offers an ideal forum. Each season there are six Mozart matinees in which each scholarship holder can perform as a soloist with an internationally renowned orchestra. The matinees convince with their varied programme and highest quality and are immensely popular.<br \/>\nIn addition the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund is responsible for among others soir\u00e9e concerts where scholarship holders perform in the Wilo Pioneer Cube.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><br \/>\nIntensive Support<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund accompanies its scholarship holders over several years.
