A. Mozart was a central concern of our non-profit association. Over time, our focus has increasingly shifted toward supporting young, outstanding musicians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our scholarship holders benefit from a diverse and individually tailored package of support measures. At the heart of our support is the subscription concert series at the Konzerthaus Dortmund: six times a year, a scholarship holder is given the opportunity to perform with a renowned orchestra in one of Europe\u2019s leading concert halls. Starting with our anniversary year, the new name \u201cYoung Artist Matinee\u201d reflects the successful and long-standing programmatic development beyond the original concept of the Mozart Matinee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another area in which we are seeing steadily growing success is the placement of our exceptional artists with other concert organizers, orchestras, and festivals. The high quality of our scholarship holders has become well known in the music scene \u2013 many are now engaged \u201csight unseen\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An anniversary allows for a proud look back. We are delighted to welcome back four of our many internationally successful former scholarship holders: Aurel Dawidiuk, currently on a steep career path as a conductor, will lead our festive opening matinee. At the same event, Sophie-Magdalena Reuter will perform as a member of the soloists&#8217; quartet in Mozart\u2019s Coronation Mass. Internationally celebrated violinist Stephen Waarts will perform Mendelssohn\u2019s Violin Concerto with the National Youth Orchestra of Germany \u2013 the country\u2019s top youth ensemble \u2013 under the baton of Anu Tali. Another highlight will be the triple concerto in February, featuring Dortmund cellist Anouchka Hack together with her sister Katharina Hack on piano, and our current scholarship holder, American violinist Claire Wells.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Additionally, four newly selected scholarship holders are eagerly looking forward to their solo performances at the Konzerthaus Dortmund: Polish bass-baritone Jakub Borgiel, Serbian pianist Vladimir A\u0107imovi\u0107, French harpist S\u00e9phora Foucher de la Fuente, and German bassoonist Elias Neuwirth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our work would not be possible without the generous support of foundations, companies, patrons, members, and our committed board members. A special thanks goes to all those who are currently standing so energetically by our side \u2013 in our anniversary season, especially to our numerous Gold, Silver, and Bronze partners. We are deeply grateful for this valuable sign of recognition and solidarity!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Join us in January 2026 for a musical members&#8217; trip to Salzburg for the International Mozart Week, featuring Mozart\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Magic Flute<\/em>\u00a0at the Haus f\u00fcr Mozart and the Vienna Philharmonic at the Gro\u00dfes Festspielhaus.
