Elias Neuwirth, bassoon
Scholarship holder since 2024
Elias Neuwirth, born in 2005 in Frankfurt am Main, began playing the bassoon at the age of nine. From 2020 to 2024, he was a junior student at the Young Academy of the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) under Prof. Henrik Rabien. In 2024, he began his studies in Munich with Prof. Dag Jensen. He was a member of both the State Youth Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, and he has won multiple first prizes at the national level of the “Jugend musiziert” competition.
He has attended masterclasses with Professors Pelkner, Petersen, Marschall, and Hermann, and received chamber music inspiration from, among others, Prof. Forst and the ARIS Quartet. In 2023, he performed with Ragna Schirmer at the Mozart Festival in Würzburg. As a soloist, Elias has performed with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra Heidelberg, and the Main Chamber Orchestra Frankfurt. Since 2019, he has been a scholarship holder of the Friends of Young Musicians Frankfurt, and since 2021, of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation.
