Sophie-Magdalena Reuter, born in 1992 in Hamburg, completed her master’s degree in opera at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre in 2018. Since then, she has performed with ensembles including the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Duisburg Philharmonic, and the Cappella Istropolitana, and has received invitations to renowned festivals such as the Hummel Festival in Bratislava.
Today, she is a sought-after concert and oratorio singer and performs regularly at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle, including with the HansePhilharmonie under the direction of M. Steurenthaler. During the 2019/20 season, she was a permanent ensemble member at Theater Hof in Upper Franconia. In 2021, the CD New Year – Neujahrskonzert was released, featuring her as a soloist with the South Westphalian Philharmonic under the baton of O. Tardy.
Sophie-Magdalena is a prizewinner of the Mahler Competition Hamburg and receives regular private coaching from New York-based soprano Carolyn James.
