The Brazilian violinist Guido Sant’Anna, born in 2005, is currently studying at the Kronberg Academy in Germany with Mihaela Martin. In 2022, he gained international attention when, at the age of 17, he became the first South American violinist to win the prestigious International Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna.
He performs in leading concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie and the Konzerthaus Berlin, and has appeared with renowned orchestras including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. He maintains a close artistic collaboration with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Thierry Fischer, which includes subscription concerts, international tours, and his first studio recording.
Guido Sant’Anna is regularly invited to major German festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. From 2025 to 2028, he is also featured as an artist in the “Debüt im Nikolaisaal” program in Potsdam. In addition to his orchestral engagements, Sant’Anna is also in demand as a recitalist.
He received his first violin lessons at the age of five, and made his orchestral debut just two years later. In 2018, he became the first Brazilian violinist to be invited to the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition in Geneva, where he won both the Audience Prize and the Chamber Music Prize.
